The opportunities for accelerated Indigenous business growth and greater economic participation spans the entire spectrum of Canada’s GDP including sustainable energy, telecommunications, primary manufacturing, forestry, fisheries, resource extraction industries, retail and distribution industries, engineering and construction, infrastructure development and health care. There are very few aspects of the Canadian economy that are not accessible to NorthernNations Group for majority ownership participation, with the potential to generate significant economic benefits for the Members and Member-Citizens of NorthernNations Cooperative.
NNC Group is currently evaluating potential acquisitions of dozens of existing operating businesses, as well as financial participation in several major projects. Target investments currently on our radar range from $5.0 million to $250 million. Other significant investments in large sustainable energy projects are also being considered and capital resources are now being identified for these projects.

NorthernNations is specifically targeting investments in Canadian business and projects that can benefit from majority Indigenous ownership whereby NNC Group and its Members would hold a minimum of 51% ownership position. Significant increases in enterprise value can accrue to these businesses and projects which are truly Indigenous majority-owned, as opposed to the current revenue sharing and royalty model that has most commonly been adopted by Industry.
