NNC COVID-19 Recovery Plan

NorthernNations was recently appointed as the national distributor to Canada’s Indigenous Communities for a set of Canadian-made products that will assist Indigenous communities to prevent further spread of COVID-19.

With the support of our Federal, Provincial and Territorial funding partners, the NNC COVID-19 Recovery Program will enable the distribution of Canadian-made, commercial-grade dry fogging diffusers and a three-month supply of hospital-grade disinfecting products to 550 Indigenous communities and Friendship Centre Societies in Western and Northern Canada commencing immediately and continuing through the Spring of 2021.

Indigenous communities need to maintain high-frequency cleaning protocols to prevent further spread of the COVID-19 virus at the community level

These dry fog diffusers, and the disinfecting products that they disperse, are an important part of the high-frequency cleaning protocols that Indigenous communities need to maintain to prevent further spread of the COVID-19 virus at the community level. The hospital-grade disinfecting solution is also Canadian made and this product (Ultra-Lyte) is included on Health Canada’s list of hard surface disinfectants with evidence for use against COVID-19 under Drug Identification Number (“DIN”) 02362546.

These dry fog diffusers disinfect both large and small areas quickly and effectively. The unit’s portability enables community buildings and residences to be routinely disinfected on a daily basis. As part of its distribution plan NorthernNations will provide the community training required to ensure the proper and most effective use of these products. This NorthernNations Program provides products which enable Indigenous communities to be more self sufficient and less reliant upon expensive outside cleaning contractors.

Communities are encouraged to reach out to NorthernNations to express your support for the NNC COVID-19 Recovery Program, and we can then discuss the delivery schedule for these important products.
